Hi all! 

Thank you to the 1,265 of you who have filled out your Easyship surveys and for making this as efficient a process as possible. 

For those of you who filled out your surveys, games will start shipping out very soon. If you haven't filled out your Easyship survey yet, please do so as soon as possible so that we can get you your copy of Picky Eaters.

Note: We have extended the survey deadline to February 23 to accommodate backers who have had shipping questions. If necessary, we will extend the survey again until all of your questions have been answered.

Shipping questions

For the vast majority of you, shipping has been a smooth process and actual costs of shipping have been within the original estimations in our campaign. However, we know some of you have questions and we will try to answer as many of them as possible. Please take a look through this update to see if your question has been addressed. 

During our campaign, we charged a shipping cost that was near or exactly our minimum estimated shipping cost. This was intended to help you budget for shipping. We mentioned in our campaign and in our updates that any remaining shipping costs would still be charged when sending out Easyship surveys. We understand that this has caused some confusion. We have learned from this process and will make changes moving forward. 

For some international backers, shipping prices have gone up since we made our estimations. This has made shipping costs slightly above what was estimated during our campaign. We understand that this can be extremely frustrating and we deeply apologize. We recognize this may have been due to this being our first campaign, and we plan to learn from it and make serious changes in the future.  

Regarding import taxes, we do not have information about specific countries' import tax laws. However, we did state on our campaign page that backers from countries with import taxes would be responsible for those. Import taxes are completely out of our control. They are determined solely by your country's import tax laws. We have heard from backers that actual import taxes charged are less than what is being estimated on Easyship when paid on arrival. We hope that this is the case for many of you.

Some of you have asked about the $4 "Additional Fees" line item in your Easyship survey. This is Easyship's handling fee. This was included in our original shipping estimations, and for the vast majority of you, shipping costs are still in the original estimated range.

A few of you have mentioned fluctuating shipping costs. Easyship originally inputted a different shipping address than the warehouse that they are shipping from. This issue has now been solved and no backers should be seeing fluctuating shipping costs at this point. 

Some of you have had issues with your payment method. Make sure the phone number you are using is connected to your payment method. If you still have trouble, please reach out to [email protected].

For our Canadian backers who are seeing extremely high shipping prices:

There are shipping options at alternative prices available to you. Here's how to get to those prices.

1. After you have confirmed your address, you will see a page similar to the one below that asks you to select a handling option for import tax & duty. DO NOT choose "Pre-pay;" choose "Pay on arrival."

1. Once you choose "Pay on arrival," you will be led to a screen that will offer you a selection of shipping options. Here, you can choose what courier you prefer. (The below is an example; your shipping costs may differ based on where you live.)

Again, we apologize for this! We hope that following these steps will help you find a better shipping price.

For Canadian backers who paid higher shipping and would have preferred to have options: We are working with Easyship to figure out how to let you re-do your shipping survey. We will update you here!

Canadians: A Note About Your Shipping Surveys

If you are in Canada and seeing an extremely high shipping fee, please hold off on filling out your shipping survey. We understand that many of you were overcharged. We have contacted our shipping partner and are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We will send an update as soon as we have more information. Hi Picky Eaters!

We're going to go right to the point on this update. Our games have arrived at their port in California and are currently at our fulfillment center, getting prepped to be sent to you. That means there's just one step separating you from experiencing Picky Eaters: completing your Easyship survey.

What is the Easyship survey?

You may remember filling out a survey with Backerkit, which confirmed your order. The Easyship survey confirms shipping, which means you not only confirm your address but pay any shipping fees that may be remaining. You will also be able to add insurance or change your shipping method if you'd like. 

When do I get my Easyship survey?

Easyship surveys will be going out next week. Please keep an eye out for them, and check your spam inbox in case they land there.

What happens after I complete my Easyship survey?

As we mentioned, games are currently being prepped for delivery at our fulfillment center. Once you confirm your address and shipping charges are paid, games will be shipped to you. Depending on where you are in the world, you should receive games between 1-4 weeks after your survey is completed. February is going to be a wonderful month!

Hi Picky Eaters!

Happy winter! It's cold outside and we're staying warm by making bread and soup at home. We hope you're also having good food to close out the year!

We've got some big news, so let's dive right in.

Mass production: check!

Mass production and final assembly of Picky Eaters has officially wrapped! All games are currently on boats on their way to our fulfillment center. 

What does this mean? Well, we're right on schedule to deliver games early next year. Games should be arriving to port in about two months. After that, they will be heading over to you!

Here's what you need to know about next steps in shipping.

A few weeks before we ship to you, you will receive a shipping survey from EasyShip. In this survey, you will be able to change your shipping address if necessary.

• If you backed Picky Eaters during our Kickstarter, you will complete any remaining shipping fees.
• If you pre-ordered Picky Eaters on BackerKit, you will pay for shipping in this survey. 

A few tidbits:

•  A big announcement for 2024: Remember when we said in our last update that something was cooking at Le Fou? Well we're ready to spill the beans, and you, our backers, are hearing it first...
